We have worked for non-profit and for profit enterprises, we have worked across the value chain from producers to customers, and what has become evident is that our businesses are not what is holding us back from a truly regenerative food system. It is the system itself.

This is why at the heart of our work is supporting food business leaders to evolve their businesses to play a role in changing the way our food system operates. We're not aiming to build a new food system, we're evolving the one we have. With drastic shifts in supply and constantly changing business environments, the companies that have done the work to evolve their role in the food system are the ones who will achieve long term viability in the marketplace.

We do this work by applying living systems thinking to everyday business challenges. What has emerged is a community of practice whose membership comprises of impassioned and pragmatic leaders making big moves to evolve the food system and innovate.

The Focus of Each Zoom Session
 

Session 1: Stop Thinking In Silos 

In the first Zoom session, we will be working on how to think in holistic ways about business, impact, and leadership. We will disrupt fragmented thinking and develop the tools to apply living systems thinking to your WHOLE business in order to see immediate and effective changes.

Session 2: Valuing Diversity 

In order to work regeneratively we need to learn to value diversity in all of its forms. By working this way we are able to harmonize diverse thoughts, patterns, and actions supporting our development as leaders. Through shifting from competing to complementary thinking we begin to value diversity.

Session 3: From Opposition to Reconciliation

So many business challenges present themselves to us as opposing forces due to our habitual thoughts and mechanized thinking. What if when presented with opposing views we had the tools to uplift this challenge in a way that brought forth new potential for all parties?

Session 4: The Essence of Business

Have you ever been working with someone and just felt clarity and alignment from the start? The chances are you were experiencing what we call an essence-to-essence match. Understanding your essence, and the essence of your business brings your work and partnerships to life.

Session 5: Uncovering the Bigger 'Why'

Your business does not exist in isolation, nor is it simply a cog in a larger wheel. Through living systems thinking you will learn how to view your business as a part of a greater whole. Your business has the potential to play a crucial role in the evolution of our food system. Understanding this role will center your work in a way that brings purpose and connections to you and your teammates.

Session 6: Integration

After the previous five sessions together we have developed the tools to see your business as living, capable of change and greater impact. We have renewed our sense of passion and purpose in the work and so much more. Now it is time to realize the new levels of potential available to you and your business!

In this Introduction to Business Evolution series you will...
